Alara had heard back from her sister who had suggested she look at what variables were missing when she’d gotten the hint and work from there. That led Alara to conclude that Prompto wasn’t one of her actual teachers this semester and that maybe she needed to try one of her own teachers offices and she tried the office closest to Prompto’s …. well not Rosa’s because if Alara was being honest, Rosa kind of intimidated her and she decided to stay clear of her office for now and went for the next closest, which was Prince Sidon’s and once again used lock picking to open the door.

She felt rather bad about this, she hoped Sidon wouldn’t mind too much that she was breaking into his office … he wouldn’t be upset would he? Maybe she could make it up to him?

She crept into the office, again checking to make sure no one was about and made her way over to the desk. She was hoping that this one didn’t involve social media either and found …seashells and a shiny chest. It took her a while before she started changing the order of the seashells and she tried a few different arrangements before the chest opened and at first she thought she’d found the hatchet but on closer inspection realised it said ‘Fake Ass Bitch’ so it wasn’t the real one. Well she’d made some progress, she found a fake one so that meant she had eliminated one more office in her quest to complete the heist. She was going to take the fake one though, it was still pretty cool … she wasn’t sure if she was meant to take the green gem thing but she felt bad enough as it was breaking into Sidon’s office so she decided to leave it and try to get out without getting caught.

Alara had been trying to figure out the hint that she had received after she had broken into Prompto’s office yesterday and had been drawing a blank.

“What’s missing?” Alara puzzled as she thought it over … as much as she hated to admit it, this was more Solana’s forte and so she sent her sister a message asking for advice and she sent the hint that she had been given over. Things had been a bit weird between them since Parents Weekend but maybe something like this could be a bit of an olive branch of sorts - she would just have to be a bit cryptic about why and how she had gotten this hint because she knew Solana would disapprove of breaking into a teacher’s office, even if it was for an assignment and she didn’t caught so there was no harm done really.

So Alara wasn’t really sure about this heist but well it was part of an assignment and it could be a good way to practice some new skills so she was able to pick open the lock and managed to not break the door in the process. She glanced around, hoping that no one had seen her breaking into a teacher’s office, because she wasn’t sure how she was going to explain it if she got caught or what would happen if she did get caught because she imagined that would defeat the purpose of the heist and also get into trouble in the process as well.

She cautiously entered the office and eventually found a note with instructions to post a photo to something called Instagram. Alara was from the 25th Century and Xelaya did not have any form of social media so needless to say she was rather confused.

“What’s Instagram?” Alara blinked and then brought out her data pad and searched for the app, downloaded it and had to go about setting an account.

Eventually she got her account set up, had it verified and she could take her photo and attempted to take said photo.

The key word being attempt and she missed the part about instagram being where you take one good photo and then upload it so when Prompto searched the hashtag, which Alara eventually got the spelling correct of, there were several different photos of plushies instead of just one… and there were some shots of the floor and walls of his office as well because Alara struggled to take a photo with the data padd and it got uploaded with everything, including the various blurry ones.

It was very clear that Alara did not have any photography skills whatsoever, sorry Prompto.

Alara had handwavily spent the last week back home and had gotten back into Fandom late last night and at this point was unaware of what had been happening over the last several days.

As she didn’t have classes until Thursday, she decided to spend the morning listening to the radio and seeing what she had missed while she was away.

It soon became quite apparent that she had missed quite a lot.

This week when Alara made her normal call home, she was joined by a tiny visitor named Anna who had found her earlier that morning and told her that she was her daughter from a possible future.

She knew Solana would want to witness the latest Fandom occurrence and so had decided that Anna should be on the call as well since Anna had been excited about seeing a younger version of her Aunt.

It didn’t take long for the conversation to turn to the future and Anna’s parentage.

[for the kidlet but can be open!]

It was Saturday and Alara normally called her sister back home to update her on her week.

That day was no exception, only it wasn’t 14 year old Alara making the call home ... it was 7 year old Alara.

At least Solana knew about Fandom weirdness and was rather amused during the conversation, making sure she was recording it for later the next time she spoke to her sister.

So Alara wasn’t really sure what was happening today since it was her first real experience with Fandom weirdness but for some reason she kept ending up being rather dressed up.

Alara knew her sister would be fascinated by what was happening, so she had been trying to record the different changes and was compiling them for her to send to her if these random changes were to stop.

It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these info posts. I think my last info post was in 2014.

*waves* hi Fandom, it’s Tracy back in the day the characters I played at one point or another were Naomi Wildman, Liz Sherman, Geordi La Forge, Andros, Shane Gooseman and Alex Mack. I’ve missed the game so I thought I’d give it another try :)

So this time round I’m going to be playing Alara Kitan, from Seth MacFarlane’s Sci-Fi Dramedy The Orville, which is heavily inspired by Star Trek and it follows the lives and adventures of the crew of the USS Orville led by Captain Ed Mercer.
